Hey! I'm glad you came to take a look here. Duplici is a short film I'm developing, it's because of it that this site exists. I still don't have much to post about it because I'm still writing the script and after I finish I'm going to start the story board and this part will take a while because I want to make something really beautiful to post here and also because the scenes will be guided by that. I've already tested some costumes and makeup and I'll perfect it as soon as possible. What I can say beforehand is that the short is in the horror genre and is about doppelgangers. It will be silent and in black and white, inspired by German Expressionist films and is also slightly inspired by The Mandela Catalog's idea that a doppelganger doesn't have to look exactly like its original.

The synopsis:

A girl is lonely. Unable to make friends, she wonders if things would be different if she had brothers... maybe a sister... a twin? Someone really connected with her. Then she remembers that there is something called a doppelganger and wonders if there is one of her own out there. She searches the internet about it and discovers a website to find her duplicate. And she finds her, but things aren't at all the way she imagined.

Update

I think I got where I wanted to with the aesthetic basis for the storyboard. These are two of its characters (I called them Cassandra and Lucinda, but they don't really have a name because they don't need one, it was just to make it easier for me to communicate when I need to talk about them). There will be more drawings and studies, I intend to make the storyboad by hand and then transfer it to digital, but now it will be a long time until I post something about Duplici again. Either way, I'm still excited for everything.
